Our Safety, Health, Environment and Compliance team (SHEC) has a pivotal part to play in our long term vision of Zero Harm to our people and ensuring we lead the industry in our environmental management. Our SHEC Management system is guided by our SHEQ Standard which sets the framework for our integrated SHEQ management system. This integrated system is certified to international standards for quality (ISO 9001), environment (ISO 14001) and OHS (AS/NZS 4801).
As part of the SHEC team in Cement Australia you will work closely with key stakeholders across multiple sites and corporate functions to ensure compliance with exacting internal and external standards. We have a Corporate SHEQ team based in Brisbane which is supported at operational level with safety and health and environment professionals embedded at our manufacturing plants in Gladstone (QLD), Railton (TAS) and Kandos (NSW) as well as in other Business Units including Packaged Products Group and Supply Chain.
From B Double trucks to warehouses and distribution centre, the broad geographical and technical nature of our supply chain and procurement activities means we offer a range of employee positions in capital cities and regional areas of Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.
Our Supply Chain team offers a range of roles from management all the way through to truck drivers, warehousing and support roles. We are always on the look out for experienced drivers in Townsville, Cloncurry, Mackay, Gladstone, Brisbane, Port Kembla, Sydney and Melbourne to drive out modern fleet of trucks.
Finance and Corporate Services

People & Performance

The People and Performance team operates as a group of functional specialists, with each practitioner integrating their individual strengths into the team and into the business. Roles vary from Employee Relations and Human Resources, Payroll, Business Support Services, Business Improvement, Management and Operational training and development roles and also includes the entire Information Technology/ iServices function. The entire team plays a fundamental part in the ongoing success of our business by creating a work environment that attracts and retains the people we need at every level. Our team is progressive and has been recognised as best practice having won various awards and nominations for it's work.
Manufacturing over three million tonnes of high performance cement from world-class facilities requires a wide range of general and specialised roles to meet our production needs. Roles include and are not limited to mining, engineering, production, maintenance and various support roles.
Our manufacturing plants are located at Gladstone in Queensland and Railton in Tasmania. At each of these sites we extract raw materials and refine them into high quality cement. At Brisbane's Bulwer Island facility we have a cement grinding plant, which also produces high quality cement for the South East Queensland market.
Marketing & sales
The sheer diversity of our product range means that Marketing and Sales at Cement Australia offers lively and responsive roles that interact closely with out customers as well as our research and development teams.
Roles vary from bulk and retail sales, technical strategic and tactical marketing, to product development and research, all working closely with our manufacturing sites, Technical Services team and out Supply Chain group. What’s more, we operate in markets throughout the country – from far north Queensland and down the east coast of Australia to Tasmania and into South Australia – we’re talking an enormous geographical spread.
Our Strategic Businesses Division covers a wide and diverse range of specialist roles and functions including Procurement, Alternative Fuel resources, Strategy and Business Development services, Group Engineering support, Coal Mining and Major Projects services.
Our Procurement team enjoys an equally demanding and satisfying challenge. With a spend of $250 million, the team focuses on delivering the maximum value from our suppliers.
